First-Generation Students

What do you mean by first generation student?

Did either of your parents or guardians complete a bachelor's (4-year or higher) degree at any college or university?

If not, then YOU are a first-generation student.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is here to help first-generation students and their families. In fact, first-generation status is one of the holistic review factors we consider when reviewing applications for admissions.
