Multimedia Journalism

The Multimedia Journalism major prepares students for careers in all types of journalistic media. You'll learn about publishing news across media platforms ranging from newspapers and magazines to television and the Internet. Our program also offers a sports media and analytics concentration, allowing you to participate in the production and delivery of sports news, consider ways to promote the sports industry, and analyze data related to sports accomplishments, fan participation, and social media.

You will develop skills in writing, photography, interviewing and digital video production. Other courses address media history, broadcast performance, media relations, sports journalism, new media, ethics, controversies and opportunities in the changing news media. You will practice your new skills by using professional equipment in a state-of-the-art digital studio, housed in the Moss Arts Center.
