The Future of Energy

Tuesday, April 20, 2021  |  3:00pm - 4:00pm EST

The future of energy is changing—and fast. As the global demand grows, consumer behaviors change, and technological innovations are made, the energy sector faces a quickly evolving landscape, and with it, new opportunities and challenges.

More than ever, the complex issues in this sector require bold visions and creative partnerships—something Hokies have always been known for. To celebrate and learn from distinguished faculty and industry alumni leading the way, Aluminate is pleased to announce its upcoming event, The Future of Energy, premiering live on Tuesday, April 20.

Together, we’ll learn about key issues facing the future of the energy sector and ask questions such as: Is 100% renewable energy possible? What would that mean for the oil and gas industry? What role do U.S. power systems play in fighting the effects of climate change? What has the global pandemic taught us about the future of energy? And how are leading private and public sector partners addressing the issues?

Our dynamic panel will give alumni and industry partners an opportunity to take part in similar conversations happening on April 26th and 27th when Virginia Tech and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) bring together leading thinkers, universities, government partners, and corporate entities for the second annual EnVision Forum
