Helen Oker

Helen Oker Portrait

Helen is pursuing a degree in biochemistry with minors in entomology and chemistry. She is enthusiastic about research, collaboration, and dissemination and hopes to continue to learn more about these passions after graduation by attending graduate school. Helen brings a sense of curiosity along with a flexible approach to help with her work at LINK + LICENSE + LAUNCH.

On campus, Helen has worked in various research labs and is currently a member of the Lahondère Lab working in disease-vector research. She has also served as a peer leader and mentor in various positions through New Student and Family Programs and student government. Helen also spent time at the Steger Center for International Scholarship in southern Switzerland as a Presidential Global Scholar where she was able to work on research, learn Italian, and travel!
