Virginia Tech Talent Graduate Scholarship
Virginia Tech is excited to announce the Virginia Tech Talent Graduate Scholarship to help Virginia residents complete graduate degrees in computer science and computer engineering.
Virginia-resident students are eligible for either a $3,000 or $5,000 per semester grant over the next two academic years, from the summer 2020 term to the summer 2022 term, if during that time the students are pursuing one of the following degrees:
To receive the scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:
● Virginia residents who are completing or have recently completed a Virginia Tech undergraduate degree.
● Apply to and be accepted by the Graduate School in one of the four degree programs.
● Maintain full-time enrollment of nine (9) or more credit hours and maintain a status of good standing.
These awards are not based on financial need but are intended to help current undergraduates plan financially for extending their enrollment 1-2 additional years to earn a graduate degree. This program may be supplemented by additional financial aid and grants provided through the academic program or other institutional programs. Students who are on a full or partial assistantship receive tuition remission and are not eligible for these awards.
Students who are currently enrolled as graduate students and otherwise meet these criteria are eligible for awards beginning in summer 2020. Students may be enrolled in courses at any Virginia Tech campus, including virtual courses.
Grants will be awarded by term to students who meet the criteria. If the number of applicants exceeds available funds or if more than the maximum number of students are eligible for this grant program, additional criteria will apply in the priority distribution of grants.
