Reading Day with SGA

  • 9 a.m.
  • Squires Student Center, Commonwealth Ballroom
  • Come to Commonwealth Ballroom for snacks, outlets, and coffee to study for finals with SGA! There will also be quiet activities and study help throughout the three days.

Finals Extravaganza

  • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • McComas Hall, lobby
  • Students will be served a variety of snacks and other refreshments, have opportunities to participate in fun activities and to interact with the CCC therapy dogs. In addition, participants will have the chance to learn study tips and mindfulness skills for finals, enter for a raffle drawing (Echo Dot and Amazon Fire Stick), and get a free chair massage.

Study @ Squires

  • Starting on December 12th until the end of finals we’ll also have a table in the second floor atrium of Squires with destress items such as bubble wrap, coloring books, play-doh, and brain teasers, as well as board games available for check-out at the Welcome Desk. Each day of the program (December 12, 13, 15, 16) we have free coffee and snacks provided starting at 8 p.m. in the Squires first floor atrium.

Therapy Dogs

Coffee @ Holtzman Alumni Center

  • 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Holtzman Alumni Center
  • The Holtzman Alumni Center, attached to the Inn at Virginia Tech, will be open for studying from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on reading day. Students will have access to free coffee all day, and those with valid parking passes will be able to park in the Holtzman parking lots. Bonus: during this time, students graduating this semester may pick up their senior class gift graduation chords, and anyone who has made a donation to the Giving Tuesday sock campaign can pick up their Virginia Tech branded socks!
