The Nanoscience program will produce students who are ready to attend the most competitive graduate programs in nanoscience; to join cutting-edge corporate R&D in some of the most important and profitable industries in the world, such as information technology, communications, drug development, imaging, and environmental technology; and who possess the scientific knowledge and entrepreneurial preparation to create their own start-up companies. The following paragraphs provide an overview of courses in the program. Entering students should be well-prepared in scientific fundamentals, either through completion of the ISC, or a well-rounded combination of existing disciplinary courses.
