The Literature and Language major focuses on the study of literature and prepares students for careers in education, law, business, government, publishing, editing, advertising, and social services, among many other fields. There are three options: Literature, Pre-Education, and Pre-Law. Each of these choices provides a foundation in critical reading, literary traditions, cultural appreciation, interpretive frameworks, and digital media, and then allows students to specialize according to their interests and career goals. Graduates develop exceptional skills in analysis and written communication.
