Welcome to Virginia Tech's Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)! Why the SRAR? The SRAR allows you to self-report coursework, grades, and test scores (if applicable). This puts you in the driver's seat as you complete your application for review. We use the SRAR in place of your transcripts for students who have taken all of your high school coursework (first-year applicants) or college/university coursework (transfer applicants) ONLY within the U.S. If you have taken any high school coursework (first-year applicants) or college/university coursework (transfer applicants) outside of the U.S., then you will submit transcripts. Who should complete the SRAR: The SRAR should be completed by first-year applicants who have taken all of their high school coursework ONLY within the U.S. or transfer applicants who have taken all of their college/university coursework ONLY within the U.S. If any coursework (high school for first-year applicants or college/university for transfer applicants) has been taken outside of the U.S., then students should submit transcripts through their Applicant Portal. Preferred browsers: We recommend using an updated version of Firefox or Chrome.
Email address: It is recommended for you to create your SRAR account with the same email address that you used on your application for admission. This will minimize delays in matching your application with your application materials. Please do not use a shared family email or the same email address as a sibling who also completed the SRAR. We also recommend using a personal email address throughout the college admissions process instead of a school issued email, as some school emails may filter external senders or you may not have access after you graduate or leave the institution.
