The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine is housed in four buildings on the Blacksburg, Va., campus, all serving the academic needs of the college. 

Founded by the Virginia General Assembly in 1978, the college is a regional professional school built upon the foundations of two of the nation's leading land-grant universities: Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland at College Park. The college operates three campuses, including the main campus installation at Virginia Tech, the Avrum Gudelsky Veterinary Center at College Park, Maryland, and the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, Virginia.

Building History

Veterinary Medicine Phase 1 was constructed in 1981, Veterinary Medicine Phase 2 was constructed in 1983, Veterinary Medicine Phase 3 in 1987, and Veterinary Medicine Phase 4 was officially occupied in 1995. An Infectious Disease Research Facility was completed in 2011.
